Condition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance differ in their approach to plant monitoring: While former monitors the current status of machines in real time, targets Predictive Maintenance based on this data and forecasts, aims to predict future maintenance requirements. Predictive Maintenance therefore goes one step further by identifying problems early on in order to avoid unplanned outages. Both approaches contribute to the optimization of operation and maintenance, with Predictive Maintenance being particularly efficient through AI-based analyses.
The software for machine data collection can be used flexibly and can be used both with newer, digitally connected machines as well as with older systems be used. Almost all types of machines can be connected via various interfaces (e.g. OPC UA or MQTT) and, if necessary, additional sensors.
