Despite the tense market situation, we have now been able to raise over 2 million euros in growth capital in our second financing round. The money comes from a complementary group of investors whose members will support us in very different ways and help us reach the next stage of growth.
One of them is Haufe Group Ventures GmbH, whose focus on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions makes it a perfect fit for us. In addition, 4TreeCapital, a multi-family office based in Hamburg, and Innovationsstarter Fonds Hamburg GmbH have also invested. Our co-founder Lena is proud that two of the investors are from our home city. "I'm very pleased because it means we can draw attention to the fact that there is an active investor landscape in Hamburg." The group of investors is complemented by a strategic partner. KSB SE & Co. KGaA is a listed manufacturer of pumps and valves based in Frankenthal, Germany. With its KSB Guard Monitoring Service, the Group is a leading provider of digital pump monitoring and sees digital services such as those offered by ai-omatic as an ideal addition to its range of services for its customers.
We have developed a digital maintenance assistant that helps production companies to recognise anomalies in machine data at an early stage and thus prevent unplanned downtimes. This reduces maintenance costs and increases efficiency. We were founded in 2020 by Lena Weirauch, Felix Kraft and Dario Ramming. The AI-supported maintenance assistant from ai-omatic is now used by well-known companies such as the packaging group Nitto and the energy supply company SEFE.
Our management team, consisting of Lena Weirauch (CEO), Felix Kraft (CFO) and Björn Schulz (CTO), will use the money to further develop our own software. In particular, the onboarding of new customers is to be significantly simplified once again. "Our simple and standardised solution is already a USP in the predictive maintenance sector, as our competitors often sell individual solutions developed specifically for each customer," explains our CTO Björn. We are also investing in marketing and sales to significantly increase awareness of ai-omatic. Internationalisation is also on the agenda. We currently offer our maintenance assistant mainly in Germany. But that is set to change thanks to the growth capital. Digitalisation is vital for the industry in times of a shortage of skilled workers. "We are currently still focusing on Germany, but digitalisation in the area of production with the help of AI is of course a global issue. It is therefore only a matter of time before we roll out our service internationally. The demand from abroad is there - I already noticed that in 2022 during my time in Silicon Valley," emphasises CFO and Co-founder Felix.
